How to clean up the Spaced Out! swamp start, with two in-game seeds and every geyser located.
Squelchy is the one classic-style start that has no base-game version. It is a 240 × 380 cell swamp world that exists only in Spaced Out!, as the start of the Squelchy Cluster. The game describes it as a great mass of frozen slush and wasteland with a short distance to the surface, so travel to other asteroids comes early. It rates the cluster Likely.

Strengths
- Wild food on a scale no other start matches: about 300 Sleet Wheat (Sleet Wheat) in the tundras, 190 Balm Lilies and 70 Pincha Pepper plants on each sample seed.
- Metal ore everywhere: 830 to 1,140 tonnes of Cobalt Ore, 770 to 990 tonnes of copper ore and 370 to 660 tonnes of iron ore.
- Ice and slush: about 1,500 tonnes of Ice plus polluted ice and several slush geysers.
- A short way to the surface for early rockets.
Weaknesses
- Polluted from the start: about 1,200 tonnes of Polluted Water, polluted dirt, mud and 420 to 500 tonnes of slime mold.
- Little clean water near the pod: 280 to 330 tonnes of liquid water on the whole asteroid.
- Gassy jungles and Chlorine Gas Vents on both sample seeds.
What to target first
- Cycle 1: Research Station, Outhouse, Wash Basin, Oxygen Diffuser on the algae (about 250 tonnes).
- Cycle 1 to 5: Bog Buckets in the start swamp; they need no light.
- Cycle 3 to 10: a Water Sieve on the polluted water pools, and the first water vent.
- Cycle 10 to 30: Sleet Wheat in a cold room, a Electrolyzer and natural gas or hydrogen power.
- Cycle 30 onward: the teleporter to the Radioactive Forest Asteroid for wood, uranium and Nosh Sprouts.
Surviving Squelchy
Germs are the problem of the first fifty cycles. Wash after the toilets, purify every pool before drinking, and keep the slime biomes sealed. Once the colony has clean water, the wild crops and metal of Squelchy carry it far.

Long-term plan
Squelchy turns into a farming colony with metal to spare. Purify and recycle water, farm Sleet Wheat and Pincha Pepper for Spicy Bread, and use the teleporter world for wood and uranium.
