Glowood Wasteland Asteroid guide: Oceania's teleporter world
AsteroidsMedium
Forest, wasteland, rust and uranium behind the Oceania teleporter, with two in-game seeds.
The Glowood Wasteland Asteroid is the teleporter world of the Oceania Cluster: 160 × 176 cells of forest, four or more rust biomes, four or more beetle wastelands, radioactive biomes, uranium fields and a frozen core. The game describes it as largely forested, with a great deal of rust and wasteland. It supplies what the ocean start lacks: wood, rust, metal and radiation research.
| Fact | Value |
|---|---|
| Size | 160 × 176 cells |
| Where you find it | Oceania Cluster, three hexes from the start; reached through the start teleporter or by rocket. |
| Arrival | A Duplicant teleporter from the start asteroid lands here next to a supply teleporter pair, with boon rooms (bedroom, washroom, power, kitchen, well or farm) on most seeds. |
| Biomes | Forest arrival area and forest, rust, beetle and worm wastelands, three or more radioactive biomes, uranium fields, frozen uranium fields and a frozen core. |
| Guaranteed | Carbon Dioxide Geysers in the uranium fields, and rolls from metal volcanoes, water vents and gas vents. |
| Peak light and radiation | 35,000 lux of sunlight and 125 rads of cosmic radiation at the surface. |
| World traits | Always exactly two random traits. |
Strengths
- Food plants Oceania lacks: Nosh Sprout (Nosh Sprout), 21 to 37 per seed, and Dasha Saltvine (Dasha Saltvine), 21 to 31.
- Sweetles (24 to 41) and Beeta hives (7 to 8).
- Arbor Trees and Oxyferns in the forest.
- Rust, 680 to 860 tonnes, and metal volcanoes on both sample seeds.
Weaknesses
- Radioactive biomes and extremely cold uranium fields.
- Liquid fresh water is limited to 145 to 185 tonnes outside the vents.
What to target first after landing
- Teleport two Duplicants and use the boon rooms as the outpost.
- Plant Nosh Sprouts and Dasha Saltvine from the wild seeds.
- Tap a metal volcano and send metal back through the supply teleporter.
- Seal the radioactive biomes until radiation research starts.
Surviving the asteroid
Keep the crew in the forest half and treat the radioactive half as a work site for short trips.

Role in the colony
The Glowood Wasteland Asteroid is the Oceania colony's farm, wood and metal annex. Bring its food plants home or run a permanent outpost on the forest side.
