Radioactive Terra Asteroid guide: the forest starts' teleporter world
AsteroidsMedium
Sandstone, wasteland and uranium behind the Arboria and Verdante teleporters, with two in-game seeds.
The Radioactive Terra Asteroid is the teleporter world of the Arboria and Verdante clusters: 160 × 176 cells of sandstone, three to five beetle wastelands, two or more jungles, radioactive biomes, uranium fields and a frozen core. The game calls it fairly dry and sandy with areas of jungle. For a forest start it adds sandstone farming and 100 to 125 tonnes of uranium ore, about as much as the other radioactive teleporter worlds.
| Fact | Value |
|---|---|
| Size | 160 × 176 cells |
| Where you find it | Arboria Cluster and Verdante Cluster, three hexes from the start; reached through the start teleporter or by rocket. |
| Arrival | A Duplicant teleporter from the start asteroid lands here next to a supply teleporter pair, with boon rooms (bedroom, washroom, power, kitchen, well or farm) on most seeds. |
| Biomes | Sandstone arrival area and sandstone, beetle and worm wastelands, jungles, three or more radioactive biomes, uranium fields, frozen uranium fields and a frozen core. |
| Guaranteed | Carbon Dioxide Geysers in the uranium fields, and rolls from metal volcanoes, water vents and gas vents. The jungle tries a Cool Steam Vent. |
| Peak light and radiation | 35,000 lux of sunlight and 125 rads of cosmic radiation at the surface. |
| World traits | Always exactly two random traits. |
Strengths
- Uranium Ore, 100 to 125 tonnes, plus Beeta hives (6 to 8).
- Sandstone farming plants: Mealwood, Bristle Blossom and Bluff Briar.
- Sweetles (20 to 32) and Grubfruit Plants.
- Aluminum Volcanoes on both sample seeds.
Weaknesses
- Radiation and extremely cold uranium fields.
- Dry: the sample seeds had only small amounts of loose water outside the vents.
What to target first after landing
- Teleport over and use the boon rooms.
- Start a Bristle Blossom farm on vent water.
- Mine uranium ore in short trips for radbolt research.
- Tap the Aluminum Volcano for the forest colony's best heat-conducting metal.
Surviving the asteroid
Keep the crew on the sandstone side and wall off the radioactive biomes until the colony has radiation protection.

Role in the colony
The Radioactive Terra Asteroid gives a forest colony sandstone crops, aluminium and uranium. It is usually the first place a forest start begins radbolt research.
