Glo Squids are immediately recognizable by the bioluminescent photophores that strobe vertically along their soft bodies. These tropical critters are distant relatives of the Euprymna scolopes, though rather than navigating via jet propulsion, Glo Squids have evolved a pair of elongated tentacles that enable them to swim upright.
